I think you overlooked one of best reasons I have ever heard… simply, you’re Arab!

And to have you as a friend… well I wold imagine that‘s the best reason of all.

The offering food thing is so true, even for us Indians. you can say no, you could be lying there suffering from overfeeding and we’ll say, “You did not have enough to eat, here have another naan.”

Sir — Yep. Arabs are swell. And many of them have in fact settled in the midwest, so that just raises the niceness/awesomeness quotient of this part of the country.

I am persuaded!! .. to make more Arab friends now, looking up the local AA in my area now.. AA = Awesomeness of Arabness by the way

.. funny how all those points hold true for Indians as well! must be a regional thing…erm.. a very big regional thing. except we don’t dance all that well, not the men atleast.. but we make up for it by a penchant for singing.

A story:

During a portion of my government-sponsored all-expenses-paid ‘recreational visit’ to a very small portion of northern Iraq, the powers that be contracted some locals to come in and feed us lunch and dinner. Holy crap, yo. We ate like kings. And the locals….some of the nicest people I’ve ever met (and I grew up in the midwest).
