return from exile, along with other things of a rather pointless nature
hello, my pretties. it’s been a long time since i rock and rolled. yes, it’s been a long time, been a long time, been a long, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time.
or something.
the reason for my absence is a long dumb story that involves me being blameless (for once) and battling the stupidity of a large internet corporation, but since the problem has been resolved and i think i am trying to be a nicer person these days, i won’t go into details. i will say, however, that i think the tech support people really need to develop an appreciation for fine, razor-sharp sarcasm. silly, humorless bastards. really, i think it’s pretty funny that, when they asked for a detailed description of the problem, i told them about my entire day. you know, because they said they wanted details.
anyway, let’s see… started the new job on wednesday. so far, i like it, except i’m still not too sure how i feel about getting out of bed before it’s light outside in order to get ready and be at the office on time, but i have a feeling that my attitude concerning this issue isn’t really positive. in fact, i think it might be the opposite of positive, but i’ll have to put some more thought into this and get back to you. if i don’t get back to you, it’s because i fell asleep. not because i’m tired or anything, but because i’m thinking of taking up narcolepsy as a hobby.
no, seriously. narcolepsy’s gotta be more fun than, oh, cross-stitching, for example.
speaking of my new choice in personal recreation, i think i’d better get in a nap pretty soon. training is rigorous, but i think the payoff is totally going to be worth it.
