get out the vote
So, tonight I went to Battle Creek for one last-ditch effort at getting out the vote. I was working with this guy Dave who had lists and charts and maps, and we would go to houses of Kerry supporters and ask if they had voted or if they were still planning to vote or if they needed a ride to the polls, and we’d periodically check in with a girl who was working the phones. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience, and I have a good feeling about the way Michigan will go.
I don’t actually have much else to say. I’m glad that I got to do something to help, somehow and I hope it matters, in some small way. And now that the work is over, it’s time to wait.
I hate waiting.
