musical fixation
I have this weird habit of fixating on a single song and listening to it over and over until I think my brain might melt and come oozing out of my ears. I don’t do this all the time. In fact, it’s usually only when I’m in the middle of what can only be described as a mood. Today’s unhealthy obsession is with “Like Eating Glass” (Bloc Party) because it’s the perfect soundtrack to how I feel — superficially upbeat, with a nagging, lyrical angst. The reason for this is that I made a bet with myself, and it turned out that I was right. And sometimes being right sucks. Anyway. Why I’m telling you this, I don’t know, but I’ll be better tomorrow. In the meantime, here it is:
