I like football (or as I like to call it so people don’t get it mixed up with other types of football, كرة القدم), and have, ever since I went to a match in Venice approximately forever ago — there was an old man sitting behind me yelling “Dai! Dai! Dai!” who would then kick every time he got excited. (Unfortunately, he would kick me in the back. Fortunately, he didn’t kick very hard.) It was terribly entertaining (the experience; not so much with the kicking). Also, the songs were dirty.
I’ve enjoyed the USA’s run in the World Cup this year. And Tim Howard, well… I, like everyone else who watched yesterday’s match against Belgium, totally love him now.
Wait. Jamelah…a sports post? What? Although I suppose it could be interpreted as a God of Futbol post.
