miss scarlet in the library with a knife

At the beginning of 2012, I made a resolution that I would make a photo for every Iron Photographer project Utata did this year, and I did pretty well with it, up until I didn’t. (Ain’t that always the way?) Occasionally, my lack of participation stemmed from the fact that I was stumped by a set of elements, and sometimes it was because I was just plain lazy. It happens. (I won’t say which happens more often than the other.)

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, Greg and I were coming up with the elements for this latest round of IP, and I was sick and cranky, and we had a set of elements decided on and everything (I absolutely cannot recall what they were). Greg said “This sounds like a game of Clue,” and then we wound up with a project centered around Clue (color, room, weapon). Ta-da!

But there were a couple of issues, namely it’s the wrong Miss Scarlet, and also even though I do that raised eyebrow thing too, I’m nowhere near as good at it as Vivien Leigh. Sigh. It is one of my life’s great disappointments.

Moving on, I figured if I was going to contribute a photo, it would involve a knife, since I seem to feature knives in my photographs a lot. And sure, I’ve done red lipstick and a knife before, because of course I have, but I haven’t done red lipstick and a knife all shadowy-like with some books in the background, so it’s totally different.

Someday I will try to figure out whether the repeating themes in my photographs say anything about me, but for now, I think I’ll do something else instead.
